We're running DNN 7.2.1.
The site template I've made for creating child portals is somehow being overridden in 2 areas -- One, under My Account with Catalook, pages we don't want visible and are not on Portal 0 are forced visible in child portals. We've tried hiding them in the menu, making them visible to admin only with no joy. Those settings work on portal 0 but they are overridden on child portals.
I'm looking for a way to prevent our template from being overridden in our child portal creating process, which is what I think is happening.
I'm also picking the brain of a good friend who is quite familiar with the Catalook Skins process and sent him this data. Somehow, under the hood, on some pages we're getting duplicate Text/HTML modules in the footer but only on a few pages. And the Catalook Mini Cart is set up on all tabs but is only visible on My Account tabs / sub tabs.
Here's what I sent my friend:
This might be a Catalook Skinning issue, where we’re getting
mysterious extra Mini Carts as well as extra Footer Modules.
Where we’re getting the extra catalook Mini Cart modules, in the
top left pane of the skin, they’re actually being put on all pages. It’s
just that visible is set true only for admin except the My Account pages we’re
seeing the Mini Cart on. (My Orders, My Profile, My WishList, My Cart).
The Mini Cart module on Portal 0 is only set up on the Store
Page, it has to be with the CAT_ItemPaneNF module. It does not have
“Display Module on All Pages” checked.
But when the template is created, the module gets set up in it
with the “Display Module on All Pages” checkbox set. And it’s created in
the top left pane on all tabs in the template. So our template is being
overridden somehow and I think it might be by the Catalook Skinning Process.
From your knowledge of their skinning process, do you think it’s
possible this could interfere somehow?
