Im new to DNN and asp.net and I am trying to edit the DNN blue skin, all I want is to move a few things around, and get rid of that breadcrumb thing. So I fired up dreamweaver, plopped the DNN blue skin's html file into it, moved the placeholders around, plopped the HTML file back onto my server and nothing changed...so I have come to guess there is something more to editing a skin that that. What do I need to do?

Thanks alot

Mark

Mark you forgot the last plop!

It needs to be *reparsed*, go to the admin/skins (if you put file in portal 0 it's there) or host/skins (if you put file into _default/skins/ it's there)  Pull up the folder where the skin is - so it's in the dropdown box and then further down the page you'll see the reparse skin option.

What that will do is write your html changes to the ascx file - which is the file that is read and the the data output to the default.aspx page.

Does that make sense?
