I am a designer versus programmer..... I have designed a set of skins for one of my sites chick-fil-abowl.com ....I designed these skins in HTML.  I really need to change the color/font attributes of LOGIN and other skinobject areas.  Can someone give me a step by step on how to do this... thanks so much.

Hi,

I had the same problem, here is what you do....

Make a file with the same name as your skin file but .xml (instead of html)
The contents of this file should look like this.....

<Objects>
 <Object>
  <Token>[TITLE]</Token>
  <Settings>
   <Setting>
    <Name>CssClass</Name>
    <Value>SomeCSSClassName</Value>
   </Setting>
  </Settings>
 </Object>
</Objects>

Change "SomeCSSClassName" to whatever CSS class you want to use to set the Title attributes.

You can add any of the tokens to this xml file, just make a new <Object> tag for each new token and keep the same format.

hope this helps.

Hello BudScott -

I'm also a designer... misery loves company, eh?  I changed the size of the login and other skinobjects by using the css class SkinObject.  Put this in your stylesheet for the skin.

.SkinObject {
    font-weight: normal;
    font-size: 10px;
    color: #ffffff;
    font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica;
    text-decoration: none;
}
A.SkinObject:link {
    text-decoration: none;
 font-weight: bold;
 color: #ffffff
    }

I learned about it on www.skinningtoolkit.com  Many thank to the owners of that project!!!  **hands down and bowing***

Much luck. Cathy
