What do I need to do to change the look of the search box?

I have this on the page:

            <dnn:SEARCH runat="server" id="dnnSEARCH" CssClass="SearchBox" />

The css looks like this:

.SearchBox INPUT{
 font-family: Tahoma, Arial;
 font-size: 10px;
 color: #F2E7D9;
 text-transform: uppercase;
 margin: 0px;
 height: 17px;
 border: 1px solid #FFFFFF;
 padding: 1px 3px;
 width:70px;
 background-color: #7D4D15;
}

But it doesnt seem to change the look of the text box at all... also how do I use an image as the button to run the search?

To use an image to submit use the following

<dnn:SEARCH runat="server" id="dnnSEARCH" Submit="&lt;img src=&quot;images/search.gif&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; align=&quot;absmiddle&quot;&gt;" /></td>

To change the "input" make sure that the CSS Class is defined for the cell that contains your Search control, and not for the control tag i.e. CssClass="SearchBox" like oyu have done, the CssClass for the Search control is handled by the .SkinObject CSS Class

<td class="SearchBox"><dnn:SEARCH runat="server" id="dnnSEARCH" Submit="&lt;img src=&quot;images/search.gif&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; align=&quot;absmiddle&quot;&gt;" /></td>

Your CSS defination shown above will work fine on this
