HI...

Here's the website I'm working on www.linguaplay.co.uk.  On the main menu at the top that reads "добро пожаловать, Register and Login, AboutU, Forum", when you point to each link the background changes to grey.  And if any of those links had child pages, at pointing at them the background would also turn grey.  What is the parameter(?) to change the colour, font etc?  Also, does anyone know of a good, straight forward list of CSS commands definitions so that I know what exactly I'm changing?  To my defence I'm very new to all of this, and up until now it's been a trial and error kind of experiment.  It would be great to get some definite definitions.... Many thanks.

Welcome to dnn and glad you're finding it's something you want to stick to!!

There is some good documentation to read and I have a help file available for download which is a CHM file conversion of the documentation along with many free skins that have examples of different ways to customise the classes.

Basically the *skinobject* class is the one that manages the tokens/skinobject.

The Normal class defines the font size throughout the site.

If you want to start defining classes specific to pages you'll need to customise the names of these classes so that the css can render in the colour you want, and you also have freedom to add your own set of classes to your projects, and have complete control over them, so my suggestion is to open the dnn-blue folder and look at the class files there, open some of the free skins files available - from http://www.dnnskins.com or http://www.xd.com.au (preview them on http://www.ninasfreeskins.com) and see how the code works.

I've setup a new forum on http://www.skincovered.com/forums.aspx which has a forum for each specific element of the skinning code that is relevant to modification which you can post a direct question on and we can provide links, code, snippets in an easier format to follow.
