I uploaded my own skin package, checked it out and didn't like how it turned out so I wanted to delete it so that I can upload a new one. By mistake I clicked on the link Delete Skin instead of Delete Skin Package and now I have errors all over the place if I choose that skin from the dropdown.

On the server I can't do anything with the folder. I can't delete it or open it. It is completely locked. Any ideas how to delete that skin folder that is hosed? I tried uploading same thing all over but it errors out not being able to write to that folder either.

Thanks,
Predrag

I have experienced these kind of problems too(with skin folders), but to me it seems a IIS problem not DNN.
On several occasions there have been folders we even couldn't ftp to anymore, only....
With an Apple , so you could try that (and delete the folder)
What mostly helps is to delete the folder from within Win 2003 (on the actual server) and create a new one, what sometimes helps if you have only FTP access is to first rename the folder and then try to delete it.
And if you have direct access to the server, restart it.....
It looks like IIS locks some folders and I didn't find out why yet... (found some post of people with similar problems, but no solution)

sometimes windows marks a folder as pending for deletion, and in such case, the folder is no longer accessible. The only way i ever got over situations like these is to reboot the server....(because then all files marked for deletion will be actually deleted).

I have always got around this issue by restarting the DNN app (space in a comment in web.config and save).

Erik, I also experienced this with folders in wich I only updated a skin (FTP), (but I guess then there are some files that have to be deleted too)... No change to the folder itself....
