I'm developing a new skin that has the page background set to grey in the css ( body{background-color:#333;} ) and then the background color for the center column (where content is located) set to white in the css.  The problem is that when you open up the rich text editor to edit text on a page, the background within the rich text editor is grey just like the body, which makes the text very hard to read.  How do I change the background color of the rich text editor?

I would recommend to use white background and a 100% width/height table with the other cells having colored background.

The Rich text now reads the background form Body{....

Rich Text module opens up in your portal in edit mode in your Admin skin.

I would suggest you create an admin skin with body{ background set to white ... and place all your skin content in a single table with one row and one cell that has the background of your other pages background.

That will work around your problem.

Except for richtext editors in default skins, like in Feedback module.

Try this:

Remove your background color from the Body tag in your CSS file and add the below line.

#Body {
   background: #FFF;
}

Just substitute your own color (and maybe also add background-color:#FFFFFF).

By default, DNN gives every <body> an ID="body", so assigning it to the ID instead of the TAG will solve the problem.
