I have only one Visual Studio 2005 Pro license, but I have four PC's for working & playing Games. So currently I only install visual studio on one of my PCs and install Visual Web Developer Express 2005 on others. But I am trying to know more about the DNN framework. I try to install the source code version of DNN. For convenient, I prefer all PCs have the environment to see & compile the DNN source code version. But I found that when I open the sln file. There are many error message shows. Then I try to install Visual Basic Express. I still found some messages also. Does anybody the give me some advise about the DNN source code version related to the Visual Studio Express?

ps: I can use CVS for version control. That why I may work some several PCs.

Ok - the source version is only completely compatible with Visual Studio.

This is because the source version contains the following:

  • A website project
  • VB Class library projects
  • C# Class library projects

The projects independently can be opened in the relevant "Express" package, but the solution can only be opened in Visual Studio.
