Hi There

I am trying to trans fer a database from our test server to our inplemenentation server and  I cannot make DNN 4.4  work

Ithere a way to stripe all info from the database or is there a way to copy parts of the database to my new database.
I  am using SQL 2005  on Server 2003

The reason I want to tranfer it becuase of all the work we did on the database

What's your error?
Migrating from one server to another is possible.  Maybe you missed something along the way.

Hi there

My problem is that it will not load up  I found many ways to transfer on the net, but nothing seems to work
What I am trying to do I place what I have from a dev server to a production server

I have th DNN webiste directory and I have the SQL database  but something seems not to work any ideas ?

It would help if you'd be a bit more precise as to what's not working.  What's the error message you receive on your browser?  What's your current configuration (IIS, SqlServer, PortalAlias...)?

If I understand correctly and you did load the database as is. You will also need to add an httpalias to the site, one that will match the url your uploading to.You can do it before you upload the database or you can manually add this alias to the PortalAlias table.
