Hi,

I use the custom module template (C#) to develop my own modules and so far everything works fine. However, I can't seem to find any compiled .dll on my machine for my module. How could the module work without being compiled? I start to worry about delopyment. Will everything still work when I do a XCOPY deployment to the production server?

Hi.

If your custom module template is all part of the web site solution and  your code is located under App_Code

you will not find any dll for your module.

It appears that you are using the dynamic compilation model.

To deploy your module to production I recommend:

Creating compiled assemblies

to move your content I recommend:

IPortable: Easily export content from your module to
deploy on your production server

I do not reccomend that you use XCopy.
