Is it possible to have a tighter integration between modules ?

Why not use, for example, links within the "links modules" to files in repository, or to reports. Why not use inside the Text/Html module an option to choose from the Repository files ? The same for the Documents, Media, Gallery, UDT.

I know, there is a "decoupling" from the core, but why not use features from multiple modules if they are already there?

Thanks,
Catalin

You can use... it's not a problem to do so, but you need to develop the features you need yourself.

Or buy a complete solution which has the things you need.

Many of the controls are reused. See http://webcontrols.dotnetnuke.com/ for examples of the controls that are used by many Core modules and are available for your use as a module developer.
