I just love these philosphical debates, but may app is hurting for more discussion on creating users

My application is creating users in DNN as they browse to the site. There is  a corperate API and single sign-on app that allows user information to be retrieved and is mandated by my organiztion.

So I wanted to get the benefits of DNN roles and security and was not ready to build a new provider.

The deployment is working and there is not a performance hit as users get created as they browse to the site in small concurrent numbers. But I am having issues with the forms cookies - it appears that calling the createuser and login API is not enough to get cookies and everything else to work.

My next step is to look at what is going on in the create user admin screens and login ctr screen.

Has anyone done something similar and solved the cookies issue ?

Thanks.

We usually stray off when get in discussions like these

Did you check the DNNMembership module in the HttpModules of DNN? If I remember correctly (it's been a long time since I've digged into this) the cookies were stored from there.
