I'm having a really strange problem after changing the Catalook skin in the Store Settings module. The links in my vertical treeview in DNN have completely disappeared including the admin and host menus. I also am randomly getting an upgrade error for reasons I am not sure of. Let me digress to explain my setup procedure...

• I created a standard DNN/SQL Express install through Visual Studio 2005, DNN version 4.4.1. I installed the Catalook modules as described in the manual.
• I then created tabs for all the pages I would have in my site/store (for both the front end and backend) and changed the DNN skin to the vertical fixed width skin, also placing the "missing" dll files in the bin folder from the DNN 4.3.5 install that allows the vertical menu to work. The dll's were recommended from a post on DNN's forums.
• I created the categories and advanced categories to match the DNN tabs and linked them to the appropriate pages. I also customized the store settings to fit my store's setup.
• I made a backup copy of my DNN directory.
• I put all my products that I have in an Excel file into the Catalook import products Excel file located in the Catdata folder and imported the products with the appropriate category & advanced category id's.
• Everything was going smoothly. I had the default DNN vertical skin setup with the default Catalook store with products that displayed on the first few pages of my site (in the Itempane that I placed on the first three tabs).
• I made a backup copy of my DNN directory again.
• I then tried tweaking a couple of the performance settings in DNN and tested them for about ten minutes or so. Stuff dealing with caching and compression, all in the DNN performance settings under the host tab. I also added a line of code that was recommended by the host of this site to improve the performance of the itempane module. Can't remember the file offhand.
• Finally I uploaded the skins from the Catalookskins folder and tried to apply them. The first one, bluemetal worked fine, but the others gave me an error something like "object not set to instance of..." something or other, can't remember it all. I tried to find where to delete the skins in the settings but found none, so I deleted them from the folder manually. Site still worked fine.
• I tried changing the skin back to the default blue skin and it gave me the "object" error again. From that point on my treeview in the DNN navigation disappeared. The weird thing is that when I change the DNN skin back to the horizintal menu the links are all there at the top. In my attempts to troubleshoot the problem I ran into an install error stating that DNN could not complete an upgrade because it could not connect to the database.
• I changed the skin to the horizintal DNN skin and set the compression settings back to where they were originally. This didn't help. I also notice that when I navigate to the DNN tab of one of the product pages, it will display the itempane but the advanced category menu that I created is gone.

I can only conclude from this that changing the Catalook skin messed something up with the advanced categories and/or the tabs of DNN, maybe in the database. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? My client is getting really anxious to see my progress and all was going fine until I tried to change the look and feel. Please help!!!
