Hi, I am in the very first stages of trying to create a custom registration form.  I added a single textbox, a command button, and a required field validator to my page.  When I click the command button to submit the value in the textbox (the text is not blank), the page looks as though it reloads (though it never actually hits my break point in the Page_Load event, and then it clears the textbox out.  No validation message appears.

The page would postback until I put the validator on it.  Now, I have deleted the validator from my .aspx markup yet now the form still won't postback (and it still clears the form values)!

Please help!  Thanks in advance...
