Hello,

i wanted to create a custom module and have installed the content from the "Source" archive for that.

When i try to recompile DNN completely i get a lot of errors in VS2005 about missing files or not defined types (e.g. for the module "Forum" or the "Reports").

Can anyone give me a hint how to recompile DNN without errors in VS2005? I have opend the DNN site as website, not as webapplication! (The file DotNetNuke.webproj was emty when i unzipped the sources => Why?)

Thanks in advance,

Ralf

You do not need to use the Source to create module. See:

If you need to use the source see:

Yes. I know these links.

What i wanted to say is that i was not able to recompile DNN without errors until i removed the modules "Forum" und "Reports".

In these modules something seems to be missing when using the source distribution. Would you recommend that i download these modules separately and install them?

Ciao,

Ralf
