GetTab obsolete

Hello,

I have this function

public int ReturnPortalId()
{
    _myTabInfo = _myTabController.GetTab(Int32.Parse(HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString["TabId"]));
    return _myTabInfo.PortalID;
}

It seems that GetTab is now obsolete. The new one asks for PortalId but that's actually the info I'm trying to retrieve with that function.

I'm surely missing an obvious solution.

Anyone, please?

I assume you are not doing this in a class deriving from PortalModuleBase since the PortalId would be available to you through this.PortalId

In a class not deriving from PortalModuleBase, I usually do something like this:

public int ReturnPortalId()
{
     DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettings _ps;
     _ps = DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalController.GetCurrentPortalSettings;
     return _ps.PortalId;
}

Hi there,

I'm looking around trying to find the replacement for GetTab. I'm using DNN 5.1.4 and the method is still part of TabController marked as deprecated, but i can't find an equivalent method that will return a TabInfo object using the TabID?
