/* Bacground on my configuration */
I originally developed this module on DNN450 Source and it works perfectly on my DNN450 WSP install. I migrated it to DNN451 and created my own precompiled project configuration.

I am developing a new module for my company using the 4.5.1 Starter Kit. I am using SQL Server 2000 (SP4) on a seperate network database server. I am using Visual Studio 2005 Developer Edition (SP1).

My Solution looks like this in Solution Explorer:

My Solution
C:\Websites\DNN451
NewModuleName

My new module is a C# module and I have excluded DNN from the build process so it builds only my module. If I include it, both projects build fine.

/* On to the issue at hand */

I packaged and installed the module in my DNN4.5.1 instance only to find that I am now getting the following error:

The file '/Wyleweb/DesktopModules/WyleGallery/ViewWyleGallery.ascx.cs' does not exist.

I did take care to restructure the files into the proper structure, and spent the time editing the modules dnn file for installation. I checked the install and all the files were installed into the appropriate places, including the modules dll file which was copied into the bin directory successfully.

I am not sure why DNN is looking for the code file. Can someone help shed some light on this for me?

TIA,

John

Here is where I am at so far. I still think that this has something to do with my conversion from WSP to WAP. Has anyone converted a DNN 4.x module from WSP to WAP successfully? Has anyone in the community created a howto or some other type of manual I can use to duplicate their success in completing this task for DNN?

I have consulted my co-workers as well as Microsofts website, and google. I cannot find anything of the sort. I really don't think that this kind of thing should be such as struggle considering WAP seems to be the preferred method of deployment for the .NET community.
