Hi,

I have been developing DNN modules recently. I had problems with using transactions. Can anyone help me on this? So what I have done in my modules is to create my own SQLDataProvider, which made its own connection to the database so I can use transactions properly. I was unable to use the standard DNN SQLDataProvider for transactions. So basically what I do in my own SQL Data provider is to connect to the database again with the connect string, and maintain that connection and create a sqltransaction to cater for my transactions. Can anyone give me help and advice on this method? If anyone knows a better method I would be happy to listen to it.

So the thing is now, I am trying to make a scheduler class. ie a DNN scheduler event. The problem is I cant get access to my own SQL data provider since its in a different scope. (Also different to the DNN module framework).

I need transactions in this schedule event so I am unsure of how to proceed .....

Thanks
