DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: SqlDateTime overflow. Must be between 1/1/1753 12:00:00 AM and 12/31/9999 11:59:59 PM. --->

I have a custom module which utilizes a dateTime field and when I drop an instance of this new module on a pane this is the error I get.  I've double triple checked all dataType assignments in the Tables, SPs, BLL files,  as well as the DAL files.  Is anyone aquanted with this error and it's remedy?

Thanks

Darin

I would guess this is most likely being caused by trying to read a null datetime value from the database. If you are using a custom object hydration method rather than CBO.FillObject or CBO.FillCollection, are you using Null.SetNull when reading any datetime column that could be null? For example:

objPost.EditedDate = Null.SetNull(dr.Item("EditedDate"), Null.NullDate)

Also, when adding/updating a record in the database, are you using in your SqlDataProvider method the standard Null.GetNull to convert an empty vb DateTime to a database null?  For example:

Public Overrides Sub UpdateUser(ByVal objUser As EPUserInfo)
     With objUser
            SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(ConnectionString, GetFullyQualifiedName("UpdateUser"), .ModuleID, .UserID, GetNull(.Signature), GetNull(.BannedUntilDate))
     End With
End Sub

Thanks imagemaker,

What are the general rules for calling GetNull?  Is it all fields defined in the database that have the Allow Nulls property set to true?  If so do I call GetNull on all query and non-query database calls?

I'm using the "DNN Module Template" and have changed nothing from the defaults except a few field name references in the DAL and BLL files.  So I'm not using any Custom Business Objects outside the DNN Starter Kit.
