Hello,

I need to add a reference to a third-party dll in my custom module.  I am guessing the only way to do this is to install all the souce, add the reference to the main project, add the dll to the DotNetNuke/Bin directory, compile, then start with the module again.  Is this correct, or is there a way I can do it without having to recompile the entire project?

Thanks,

-Scott

I've been searching the internet for the last few hours.  So far I found a few articles that say you don't need to recompile the entire project just to reference a private assembly.

Using VS2005, what is the best mothod of creating a module that needs to reference another assembly?  One artical I found (http://ajaxwidgets.com/Blogs/Kariem/free_dnn_ajax_chat_module.bb) walks through the process of creating a blank project, but I don't see how you could easily debug the new module in this environment.

I am sure this is being done all the time.  Can someone help me out with a link or a brief description on what is needed?

Thanks...

-Scott
