I have a unique challange. I have beed developing a module for my organization. The system stores attachments in a database table as blob data. For the purposes of this post, we'll assume that all the attachments are images. The users require that they are able to upload zipped files of images. I have written a function that unzips the files to a subfolder in my module named after the sessionId ("~/DesktopModules/MyModule/~sessionid~/"). I need to insert each file in the sessionId directory into the database when the user submits the record. I am storing (non-zipped) files that need to be uploaded in a generic list. Naturally, I want to add the contents of the zipped files to the generic list as well. The List type is HttpPostedFile.

How can I cast these unzipped images as HttpPostedFile so I can add it to my current generic list?

Cheers!

I fixed. I had to create my own HttpPostedFile class. The .NET one is a public sealed class. So I created a public sealed class that allows me to assign the blob to the object member programmatically. It's a fine solution I just had to create an API and add the namespace it to give the code some seperation from the .NET version of the same class.

Cheers!
