Hi Dnn Experts,

I am facing a problem in using my new menu module in my own skin.I have made a new skin without including any menu user control in it and i have made one menu module of mine which i have inserted in my own portal.Everything works fine with this menu and skin except in admin/host,where my menu module doesn't show up at all on admin pages.I know by default custom modules don't show on admin pages, but is there a way to implement a check in skin only so that on admin pages default solpartmenu is also shown.

Thanks in advance

Amit

I have inegrated the solpartmenu control in skin only and implemented a check in it such that this menu only shows up in admin area

The best way to do this is to create an Admin Skin (that includes solpart) and a portal skin that doesn't so your own menu can be used.  Site Settings allows you to set different skins for Admin and Portal.

How much development work have you invested in your own menu?  It might be a better approach to design it as a NavigationProvider, so it should be able to plug in and replace the default menu much better?  In 3.2/4.0 check out the 4 different navigation providers.
