The job i am in has been run by non programmers who have used FP for years without any source control and no real formal software dev cycle - I am trying to bring them kicking and screaming into this decade of development practicies - is there any real good products out beside Source Safe and Subversion that integrate into VS2005 and help control people at least overwriting others work? the big deal is it has to work with all files not just .NET files - we are still supporting a ton of classic ASP pages untill they can be migrated or killed

Thanks for any help

Visual Studio Team Edition? It is NOT using Source Safe. It's using a new program for source control.

Michael - yeah i looked at that but i think thats possibly overkill for us - right now its two programmers and 1 intern - hopefully another porgrammer sometime soon - but was looking at options - i think we will most likely go with source safe for now

Thanks

Personally I use SourceGear Vault and I am VERY happy with it.  It is also the source control app used by DotnetNuke for the individual projects.
