Ok. It is My First Module.

I am writing a not too complex module in C# for DDN 4.4.1. Everything compiles, SQL is in de SQL2005 db. I logon as host, and pick Host -> Moduledefinitions from the menu. I select Create New Module and I see in the Manifest dropdown MyModule.dnn.

Select, Install. Great, it works!

Next I create a new page. and add the MyModule to the ContentPane... And nothing  happens. The module just doesn't appear on the page.

I have written the module twice: one time using the DotNetNuke 4.0 Module Developers Guide from Michael Washington, and another time using the Starterkit with the Creating a DotNetNuke Module For absolute beginners! on www.adefwebserver.com.

Anyone an idea what is going wrong?

Ton.

Just a guess without more to go on - make sure that the ControlKey for the module's default view control is blank.

Thanks Bill,

You are right. That does the trick. In my obsession to have everything organized I did put a value there: "DefaultView". I erased it and now the module has reappeared in triplefold

Thank for your quick response.

Ton.
