I am developing a system, and want to reduce the time required to create data entry forms. I am creating these form dynamically and all goes well until the form is posted back. Because the controls dont exist  in the .ascx then they are not recreated during the postback. This is not really a problem for the data as that can be reteived from the Request object.

However it is a problem for getting the validators to fire and the submit button event handler to fire. I believe in normal ASP .NET, I could recreate these dynamic controls in Page.Init event and all would work fine. I guess my problem is that I don't know how from within a module, I can get access to the the Page.Init event handler.

Does anyone know of a means to do this?

If you are using a Data Repeater try turning EnableViewState to false and bind the Data Repeater each time page loads. (This is only valid if you are creating controls when DataRepeater_ItemDatabound event is fired)

Hi,

Read this post from Mauricio Marquez, may be it can help you.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
