Hi,

Can someone suggest a good DotNetNuke book? One that is aimed at developers, and that focus on custom development on the dotnetnuke framework?

I saw DotNetNuke for professionals on Amazon, but the writeup states that this book is aimed more towards Portal administrators as opposed to DNN custom developers.

We're also in the process of starting a DotNetNuke usergroup here in South Africa, and I would like to look into the possiblity of arranging an Informative/training type event/workshop to be hosted by one of the DNN Guru's

I obviously have to look at the financial viability of such an event, but I suppose there's no harm in getting the ball rolling in the interim.

Thanking you in advance

Julian Pereira

I am not sure what is really out there for books.

I know that there is a book "DotNetNuke for Dummies" that is out there as well, but honestly I am not 100% sure if even that is greared towards development.

I personally learned everything I know from playing around with it and reading other individuals blogs and tutorials...

AFAIK there are 4 books out there. Those written by CT members have module development basics. Also, the Developer's Guide available from the DNN.com download area is good material. Based on the info from those two I believe most developers use Blogs and general asp.net programming resources.
