Several months ago I was looking for a way to using ASP.NET 2.0 coding techniques to produce a DotNetNuke PA.  I specifically asked in the forums how I could create a PA with one DLL from multiple ASCX files.  I was told I had to create a web application project.  That is, I'd have to use ASP.NET 1.1 codebehind files rather than the new ASP.NET 2.0 codebeside files if  I wanted to create a PA with one DLL.  This wouldn't be too bad, but I really like not having to declare all of my controls in my codebehind file and I did not want to loose this feature of programming in ASP.NET 2.0 just to write a PA for DotNetNuke.

So, I went searching.  Everything I found either said you have to use codebehind files like we did in ASP.NET 1.x or you have to ship the code as part of the PA.  At the time, I could not find any instructions on how to create a DotNetNuke PA using ASP.NET 2.0 coding techniques without having to ship the code with it.

Well fellow DNN programmers, not being one to be told something can't be done, I did a bit of research and discovered that you can write a DNN module in ASP.NET 2.0 using ASP.NET codebeside programming techniques AND get it all into one DLL.  I actually figured this out several months ago, but I've been swamped with work and didn't have the time until recently to actually document how I got this all working so that the community could benefit from my research and so that I can duplicate the process the next time I need to create a PA.  The results of this work can now be found at: http://www.dmbcllc.com/Articles/WebDevelopment/DotNetNukePAwASPNET20/tabid/260/Default.aspx

Hope this helps someone.
