Hi

I'm doing a very simple Ajax enabled content module that will refresh the content based on a interval.
The module causes an application exception when the user is logged in as an administrator (and the control panel is showing).

The message is : Response.Redirect cannot be called in a Page callback.
on the method optMode_SelectedIndexChanged

I'm sure this has been asked before and was wondering if there is a work around.

Cheers

Alan

You can modify the core to fix this. Jon Henning posted this as a solution in a different thread, I've implemented this on a few sites.

The easy fix is to add the following code to the SelectedIndexChanged event

Protected Sub optMode_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles optMode.SelectedIndexChanged
            If Page.IsCallback = False Then
                SetPreview(True)
                Response.Redirect(Request.RawUrl, True)
            End If
        End Sub
