I intend to try creating new modules for DNN4 with VS2005.  Should I install the Source package first then the Starter kit or the Source package is all I need?

Actually the Starter Kit is all you need to develop modules in DNN 4.  It includes the source of the website itself.  However, you can use Source if you want to see the "source" of the  DotNetNuke Library API.

Is there any speed advantage in using Starter instead of the Source version ? I.e. after hitting Ctl-F5, or F5, until the home page is shown. At the first time or second/subsequent times on a local server/development machine? I think I'd be doing that quite often  and contribute to the community...

I don't think I'm the only person doing that development.

But, maybe there are very few people doing that ... who would adventure into version 4 ? In fact the source code of the DesktopModules are not available even in the source version. And some (at least) of the modules are not adapted for version 4 development environment.
