My sites have quite a few custom account profiles (age, sex, etc.). Is there any way to control module security based on account profile values? Ex. show/hide a text module depending on a user's age?

I thought about creating sql triggers on the UserProfile tables so that as user's change profiles they would be added/removed from corresponding security roles. Obviously that sounds a bit kludgy...

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Actually it is a bit easier than using triggers...

I modified this stored procedure: dnn_UpdateUserProfileProperty

I added an this section to the bottom: "if @PropertyDefinitionID = {the Profie ID that you want to syncronize w/ Roles}"

The UserID is then added/removed from the appropriate Roles.

This enables "one-way" synchronization betwen Custom Account Profiles and Security Roles.

The result is module/page security can now be controlled by Custom Account Profiles.
