Hi, we are trying to decide whether Dnn is the tool for us both from a technical and functional perspective.  One issue seems to be with uploading HTML through the RichText editor.  When we paste in content from an Ms Word document that contains images, the images appear as blank areas (obviously because the image tags do not point to a virtual path but instead the original physical path of the client).

Can someone comment on whether it is possible to compose content that contains images in word - then paste the content into the RichText editor and upload the HTML and images to the webserver.  It seems like this functionality might require some custom module and in which case, could be quite complex.

not that i know of, I'm not sure extracting images from embedded paths would be possible for a web application as it would require local machine access and then be a security issue . There are a few modules that allow you to retain the doc's themselves and expost them to users of the portal such as document exchange and document paths

That makes complete sense and thanks for the response.  I seem to remember a couple of years ago pasting Word content into one of the first rich text controls in an online demo which somehow supported such uploads.
