Thanks for your reply!

another question related DAL+

I just think that use of "provider" module provides very little benefit to our project but introduces a layer of overhead and hurts the performance.

So I will developing our momules throught DAL+ .

Does DAL+'s  performance better than DAL?

where is the Pros and Conts about DAL+ except extendsible and dependent DataBase ?

Because I only use SQL Server  I do not need extendsible and dependent DataBase .

Any Advices?Thanks a lot!

I dont know if the performance is any different, I never use it as I like the Data Provider p[attern and do not find it confusing at all.

If you only use SQL like most of us you can get away with DAL+.  Again I have never used it so no idea about pros and Cons.

If you look at the DotNetNuke Core source code you will see that the DAL+ is merely a wrapper around calls to the Microsoft Application Blocks that make the calls to the database. The DAL+ is less overhead not more. As you can see in the graphic below, the DAL+ REMOVES a layer.

The only con to the DAL+ is that it is not 100% "portable" to another database.
