Hi there,

my custom module is calling page1.aspx to display some additional data which the user need to select from.

Under "normal" cicumstances I would use the PostBackURL property to have the second page post its values to the first page but I wonder how I can pass the data back to my module.

Any ideas?

Best regards,

Tillman

Well, judging from your reply it is clear to me now that I should have added to say that this second page I am calling is running on the same server - it's even in the same directory. That's why I hope that there is some straightforward "build in" method of doing this instead of going the extra miles by doing something "out of the box".

I was hoping into the direction of simply using the Session array but that is apparently not shared between the two pages. At least I did not manage to pass on a variable that way.

Thanks for taking the time to get back to me though, I appreciate that!

Best regards,

Tillman

Thanks for that link Michael. My module is actually making heavy use of multi-views and it seems to me that the blog module (as mentioned on that page) is using multiple view controls so there should be a way of communicating between those controls.

My next stop would probably be to check through the blog-module source but since my vb.net reading skills are - let's say a little sluggish - I wonder if you could point me into the direction? :-)

Thanks for your support!

Cheers,

Tillman
