I'm trying to write a module, and have the following excerpt of code:

DotNetNuke.Entities.Tabs.TabController tabController = new DotNetNuke.Entities.Tabs.TabController();
bool isSuperTab = tabController.GetTab(this.PortalSettings.SuperTabId, this.PortalId, false).IsSuperTab;

The value of isSuperTab comes out as false. Is this right? I specifically told GetTab to return to me a tab that is part of the Host menu with the specification of this.PortalSettings.SuperTabId. It seems to me that isSuperTab should be true.

If I look at all of the tabs in this.PortalSettings.DesktopTabs that are of the Host menu, those have IsSuperTab equal to true.

I guess I'd like to either get this confirmed as a bug, or have someone explain the logical reasoning.

Thanks to any responders.

Mark

No responses... I logged as a bug in the issue tracker. Let's see what the response is there.

Mark,
the SuperTabID is the ID for the "HostT tab, which is only a menu point, and not an "active page". It indicates the parent of the host menu.
All childs are tabs inside that menu. If you make a search over all vb file, you will often find code like:

So I am sure that this is no bug.

Can you please explain what is your idea behind your demosntration code? What should it be good for?

Thank you

If PortalSettings.ActiveTab.ParentId = PortalSettings.SuperTabId Then
