i posted my problem yesterday but i might not have made my problem clear enough and my observation was bit off yesterday. i will do it again.
one of the ascx file in my module consists of a few textboxes and a link button. it's a simple web form application. you click the link button to submit. followings are what i have observed:

- when not login, the web controls are not responsive. i click the submit button but nothing happens. i find out that it is because Page_Load is not called at all. i have refreshed the page or even closed the browser and open the page again, still no call to Page_Load. the weird thing is on a few times, thing comes back to normal and Page_Load is called.

- when i give a particular user the permission to edit the module and i login as that user, everything is fine. if i don't give the permission, the same problem comes back: Page_Load is not called

this is killing me. it's a simple form and i can't figure out what causes it. can anyone tell me why Page_Load is not called all the time and how it is related to the permission of the module? actually i suspect my ascx file might not  be processed at all. please help if you can or if you need to know more on problem.
