Hi, guys!

I write a module that needs permanent links. Regular DNN’s links have tabID parameter which depends on the particular installation. So, I’ve got a permanent link (for an instance www.mydnnsite.com/redirectToModuleA.aspx?param=....) to a page that redirects to the module accordingly to the tabID for the current installation.

ASP.NET Server.Transfer(…) method perfectly fits for the task, unfortunately I don’t know the way to use it with virtual DNN URLs.

If you have any ideas how to accomplish “permanent links” I’d greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Take a look at your siteurls.config file.

All "regular" dnn links actually use urlrewrite to request ~/Default.aspx... and the tabid is passed in the query string. Default.aspx renders the content based on what tabid is passed to it.

Or is your goal to eliminate the TabId from the URL all together?

Exactly. TabId ruins the whole concept of permanent links.

I can perform Server.Transfer directly to ".../Default.aspx?TabId=...", but I'd like to use DNN API (if any exists) for that.
