The last that I have heard about IUpgradeable is that it has major flaws, and shouldn't really be used.  See Joe's blog post for details.  If anyone has new information that's newer than 2 years old, I'd love to hear it, too.

Hope that helps,

ahha, Thanks Brian

I will happily choose, "not to touch the IUpgradeable"

(I guess all my clients are having really busy sites infact, only those, who have busy sites, are my clients )

I believe that the problems with IUpgradable mentioned in Joe's 2005 blog have been corrected with a change in its implementation such that calls to your UpgradeModule method are handled through a run-once task that is set up in the Scheduler.  I have successfully used the IUpgradable interface most recently to initialize custom permissions on a module as it is being installed. Although the "under the hood" code to call your UpgradeModule method has changed from that in 2005, its usage (particularly for what versions it is called) has remained the same as in Joe's blog.
