Hi

I've created my own module, and packed it via the "create module package". Later, when I'll use the "install new module", I  want that it will apply some changes in web.config file.

Does the manifest file (.DNN) support this option?
Can it be done in other ways?

you could do it by code, but what changes do you want to make?

To my knowledge this is NOT supported by the DNN module installation process, however as it was asked above, what changes do you want to make, I would see this as a pretty big risk to security to be changing the web.config file on the fly with a module that I installed.

I don't think it is either unless some of the core code is shared with the provider package installer which does support changes to the web.config. Take a look at the .dnn file for the ActiveDirectory provider (you can find it in the install/packages directory of the DNN version your downloaded).

During (or actually right after) the module install process you can run code in the module's IUpgradable implementation.
