I am developing a module for our intranet site.

My module has an imbedded usercontrol (ascx) .

Is it possible for my usercontrol to raise events in the parent dnn module using IMC?

My usercontrol inherits from ModuleBase. ModuleBase inherits PortalModuleBase.

The code below calls 'RaiseDatesChangedEvent', but ModuleCommunication is always null. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Any help appreciated.

Regards,

Paul.

public partial class DowntimeDates : ModuleBase, IModuleCommunicator

{

{

public event ModuleCommunicationEventHandler ModuleCommunication;private void RaiseDatesChangedEvent()try

{

MCArgs.Sender =

MCArgs.Target =

MCArgs.Text =

MCArgs.Value = lblStartDateTime.Text +

}

ModuleCommunicationEventArgs MCArgs = new ModuleCommunicationEventArgs();"StartEndDates";string.Empty;"StartEndDates";"|" + lblEndDateTime.Text;if (ModuleCommunication != null) ModuleCommunication(this, MCArgs);catch (Exception exc) //Module failed to load

{

}

}

Exceptions.ProcessModuleLoadException(this, exc);

I am pretty sure if the usercontrol using IMC is not being loaded by DNN the IMC wiring will not take place.  You can try raising your own event, so the parent module can pass it on as a IMC.
