Hi Guys,

I just want to clarify things here. Are there sessions in DotNetnuke? How can you pass them as parameters using a hyperlink? How's the syntax?

Thanks in advance.

Bryan,

sure there are sessions, but session variables are not used due to limitations in web farm environments. Which information would you like to pass in what module?

Sebastian:

Are you familiar with any "Best Practices' module development document for commercial modules?  I have a module I may want to sell but right now it is using session variables.

Actually what I want to do is create a link on the Left Pane then on that link, I will pass the username and the password. upon Clicking the link, a portlet on the Content Pane will open. The Idea is, I will open an INotes portlet(Lotus Notes Email) on the Content Pane.

Hope you'll help me on this.
