Hi, there! I'm new to developing modules for DNN. I need some help with navigation mechanism.

I have the following objective... I need to dynamically insert links into navigation system (menu, breadcrumb, etc) based on my data in my module. Thus, I would like to integrate internal module navigation with portal navigation. I have found very little information concerning my problem, so I would be grateful for any advice.

I am considering creating/removing pages which link to my module, now. Definitely, not the best alternative.

Thanks!

Two ways have become known to me.

First... Create and delete pages on the fly when data changes in my module.

Second... Inherit DNNMenuNavigationProvider class to overload Bind() method and insert DNNNodes which link to my module.

Both methods will create menu items, but I haven't found any way to control breadcrumb data on this moment. Please, let me know, if you have any idea.

You could also create your own nav provider that could change based on data in the module - basically you would need a breadcrumb provider too - it works a lot like the nav provider
