I have a little problem at the moment.  We are using some external libraries that we have written ourselves for some centralized functionality.  We are leveraging the latest version of the ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib library for non-DNN purposes.  However, an old version of this library is included with DNN, and when we do a build, we have two assemblies (ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll and SharpZipLib.dll), which have an overlapping namespace called ZipFile.  Now, we had tried removing the older version that was compiled with DNN and it seemed to work in some areas, but then installing modules was failing because the particular version that DNN was built with was missing.  Is there any possibility of getting core updated to use the newer version?  Or, better yet, are there any suggestions for fixing the issue.  We cannot remove it from our library as the library is used for other things where we use the library to generate zip files.  Does possibly adding it to the GAC help in this situation?

I've run into the same issue. Have you created a solution? Is there a way to specify in the web.config what .dll DNN should use for zip functionality?
