    Can anybody help me in this regard.I have done a module which displays competencies.These Competencies can be added by the administrator.I have another module which displays the lists of these competencies based on different settings added in that module.Now while adding a competency i need to set the edit and view permission for the roles available of that particular competency.Based on that it should be visible and editable to the users.Can anybody provide a way to implement this or provide a sample code if possible.please help its urgent.

Actually you should prepare some field in your table to hold user's role. And then before your module started, you should check user's role first. If logged in user match with your user's role settings in your table, then do some action, otherwise do another action. Everytime you want to add new competency, you should add more logic to show and choose a role.
