I failed to use gridview on UpdatePanel in DNN 4.0.2 module. I got javascript error or lost functionality. Without UpdatePanel gridview works fine. Is it possible to use ATLAS in DNN module?

Thank you.

This is a known problem which is mentioned lately on the "old" Dnn forums over at asp.net site.

I have put up an example on my site of the scenario I have tried myself:

http://vladan.strigo.net/tabid/71/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/4/Atlas--DotNetNuke-Step-1-Making-the-DNN-40-module-in-VS-2005.aspx

http://vladan.strigo.net/tabid/71/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/5/Atlas--DotNetNuke-Step-2-Adding-Atlas-support.aspx

I also did tests, and the problem is that the DotNetNuke modules are added to late in the Page lifecycle to the Page, that makes a problem for Atlas to update the content in the update panels.

I am currently investigating this problem and will post on my blog a better answer and the future of the problem in a few days.

I thought i might try creating a DNN module that uses Atlas with the same result as everyone else. I used a DNNDegug script that a mate sent me and here is the actaully error that occurs:

The UpdatePanel 'myDivPanel' was not present when the page's InitComplete event was raised. This is usually caused when an UpdatePanel is placed inside a template.
