I am developping a custom HTTPHandler and it is woring fine, the only problem is that I am unable to access the user data, when I try (DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo().UserID) if returns -1 although I am logged in

I searched and found out that in order for the HttpHandler to access the session info it should implement (IRequiresSessionState) and I tried that but no luck, anyone done this before?

I havn't actually tried it, but think the following might work (using the context passed into the ProcessRequest method of IHttpHandler):

Dim objUser As DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserInfo = CType(context.Items("UserInfo"), _
                                                       DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserInfo)
Dim UserID As Integer = -1
If Not objUser Is Nothing Then UserID=objUser.UserID
