When you are setting up the logo for your site (Admin\Site Settings) the default drop down list is populated with all of the available images in the root folder.

My question:

How do you go about getting all of the available images from a given folder and populate a drop down list with those values? I need to do exactly what is being done to load the logo. Is there a tutorial?

Michael? Anyone?

This is pretty much all I have left to do and I will be finished with my very first DNN site with custom modules!!

The built in DNN URL control (~/controls/URLControl.ascx) allows you to do this by setting its File filter property so you might get a clue by looking at it's source.

Unless there is a reason you cannot, you should actually use the DNN URL Control. It adheres to all the DNN security model restrictions, plus makes your life a bit easier. There are several core modules which use this to provide an example. The forum, for example, uses it in Forum_PostEdit.ascx.

Bobby and Crispy,

Thank you for replying. I found that control and played around with it for about 45 minutes but I was not sure if it would do what I needed it to do. Because you guys say that it will work for what I am hoping to do, I will look at it closer.

Thanks again,
Chuck
