Hi

We need to be able to pass in a Form variable from a different web page (classic asp) to the DNN framework and store it into a Session variable.  Can anyone please tell me if this is possible by modifying the code base, and if so where?  This is mainly to modify the AD module, and I dont understand how DNN loads up directly but when rediring from our classic asp page to a new aspx page in DNN, the DNN framework seems to skip that redirect and take us somewhere completely different.  Any help in explaining how this works or how to get a Session variable implemented would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Mike

Mike,

First of all Session Variables are not recommended in DNN due to the fact that they do not work properly in web. farm environments.

Discounting this you have a few options, if you don't know the page that the posting will go to you could add some code to the default.aspx page to do the processing.  Otherwise if you know the page that they will go to you could write a custom module to do it.
