In my formview_Load I have the following....

Dim Departing As Textbox = Me.FormView1.FindControl("txtDepartureDate")

Dim DepartingDate As HyperLink = Me.FormView1.FindControl("hypDepartureDate")

DepartingDate.NavigateURL = DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.Calendar.InvokePopupCal(Departing)

It works as expected.

What I would like to do is add a routine that checks the date selected as soon as it's selected against dates already allocated in my DB. I would prefer not to check at page validation. I  have the  routine working but I cannot figure out how to tie it into the calendar operation. I tried using OnTextChanged on the textbox in the ascx and I also tried using the AddHandler but couldn't get either to work. I don't think that I was coding them correctly.

I could use some guidance on this..Thanks
