I have a custom module with View, Edit and Settiings controls.

I need to pass a variable to the Edit control when the ACTIONBUTTON is clicked in the View control.

I there a way to do this?

The other option I've tried is to create a hyperlink control in my View control code to build the correct link to the Edit control with the variable pass through the querystring.  The problem I'm having there is to get the link to appear for users with Edit rights.  I think the <% IsEditable %> variable on the visible property is supposed to do this - but I'm having trouble getting it to work (missing something??).

Any help in the right direction would be great!
