Hello there,

I am trying to create my first module's Private Assembly (DNN 04.08.00) but I didn't find the "create private assembly" menu item.  I went to create the module package but,  on the Edit Module definition and there is no Create Private Assembly option in the menu Only the Help and Online help. Where did it go? Searching in the DNN forum I found this: "In 4.x the Create Private Assembly link is only visible if the module is built using the dynamic module WSP approach with the code in the app_code folder...".  As far as I know I built it using WSP, because I downloaded "DotNetNuke_04.08.00_Install.zip", unzipped, opened it with VS 2005 File -> Open Web Site...  -> Local IIS. After that I ran the site Ctrl+F5. To create the new module I used "DotNetNuke 4.8.0 Starter Kit", and I even don't have installed neither the update nor the add-in to Visual Studio 2005 required for WAP. So, what is wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Kau.

Hi Kau,

also remember to check that the folder of your module matches what you stated in the module definition, this is usually what causes the link to disappear.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

This doesn't appear to create a private assembly, it just packages the module into a .zip file. The source code is still included.
